After gaining the “final”, true Blade of the Haunted after all, which means even after the quest is marked as “completed” in your journal, there are two little additional features/rewards to discover (apart from the “Blade Customizer” feature, given that you are using it).
You’ll probably stumble over them automatically after playing some time.
If you don’t, keep in mind the following:
1. The power of the Blade is not static. It will develop together with its bearer.
2. The Blade of the Haunted is a famous, legendary item, considered a piece of fiction by most people. Being known as its “finder” can give you some popularity
1. Upleveling:
Apart from customizing it, the Blade will gain some strength from time to time when you’re leveling up. You just need to level up and wait for it to happen.
2. Gaining popularity:
Remember who helped you during your search for the Blade. Let those people know that you have succeeded in your quest.

The Blade will level up exactly with each 5-level interval, i.e. on reaching level 5, 10, 15, 20 etc., up to level 50. If you are using the “Customizer” (see the readme for details), any Blade updates resulting from reaching one of these levels will be “merged” with your customized updates, so any factors applied with the Customizer will be reapplied to the sword new base values after the upleveling. In other words: Both ways of modifying the Blade’s values won’t interfere with each other, but they’ll just add up.
2. Gaining popularity:
The relevant persons to talk to will all offer a new topic “I’ve found the Blade of the Haunted!”. These persons are
- Nadara,
- Phintias,
- Mach-Na
- and (only if you talked to her at least once:) Bothiel.
Talk to them all to receive both a fame bonus and a new ability that raises your personality. The latter takes effect as long the Blade is in your inventory, but you don’t need to have it equipped for it.

- Any other loot from the quest
- Even the Blade itself (though I don’t hope that you want to do that!)
